Hooksett Full -Day Kindergarten Update

The Hooksett School Board is in support of moving to a Full-Day Kindergarten Program and has been working toward this goal the past several years. This fall, the School Board asked Superintendent Rearick to examine the possibility of offering one Full-Day Kindergarten classroom as a pilot. At their November meeting, the board voted to move forward with one Full-Day Kindergarten classroom for the 2020-21 school year.

At that time, the Board also formed a Kindergarten Subcommittee to review classroom use at the Underhill School for the purposes of housing Full-Day Kindergarten for all students in the future. The subcommittee will provide an update to the Hooksett School Board at the March 3rd meeting.
