We believe…

  • Every student has the potential to achieve academic success.
  • All students can strive toward the same common objectives and grade-level expectations.
  • Student learning experiences need to be authentic, engaging, and accessible for all learners.
  • A curriculum that is rigorous and well-planned is essential.
  • Common grade-level expectations for student learning must be clearly stated and communicated to students and families. 
  • Assessing student progress should include a variety of methods and serve as a tool in shaping educational experiences while guiding students to take ownership of their progress.

  • Math & English Language Arts Parent Information Nights
    • K-2 Parent Information Night
      • Audience: Parents and guardians of students in Grades K-2
      • When: September 27, 2023 – 6:30-7:30 pm
      • Where: Fred C. Underhill School
      • What: Join Meghan McLain, Director of Mathematics, Accountability and Assessment, and Sonia Laliberte, ELA Coordinator, as they give a basic overview of the instruction and curriculum used at Fred C. Underhill School.
    • 3-5 Parent Information Night
      • Audience: Parents and guardians of students in Grades 3-5
      • When: October 4, 2023 – 6:30-7:30 pm
        Where: Hooksett Memorial School
      • What: Join Meghan McLain, Director of Mathematics, Accountability and Assessment, and Sonia Laliberte, ELA Coordinator, as they give a basic overview of the instruction and curriculum used at Hooksett Memorial School.
    • Family Math, Literacy, and STEM Game Night
      • Hosted at Hooksett Memorial School in conjunction with Southern New Hampshire University

Grade Level Competencies: 

The Hooksett School District has high expectations for our students and teachers.  Our comprehensive curriculum is challenging and relevant to all students.  It is aligned to New Hampshire State Standards to provide a strong foundation for success in a global community.  Please see below for a sampling of the skills and understandings we focus on in each grade level.
